Disney Makes Big Bluey Announcements This Week: Movie, Parks and More
Published on 12/20/24 by Craig Smith
Disney is doubling down on Bluey, the globally beloved animated series, with exciting new ventures that will thrill fans in the coming years. The Emmy-winning series, which has become 2024’s most-watched show on Disney+ with over 50.5 billion minutes streamed, is set to make a big splash in both cinemas and Disney destinations worldwide.
Announced as part of a new partnership with BBC Studios, Bluey will leap onto the big screen with its first-ever feature film, set to release in 2027. Directed by series creator Joe Brumm, the movie will continue the charming adventures of Bluey and her family, promising an “experiential event” for all ages.
Adding to the excitement, Bluey and her sister Bingo will soon appear in Disney Parks and on Disney Cruise Line. While specifics remain under wraps, plans include interactive experiences, live entertainment, and playful character meet-and-greets, expanding the magic of Bluey beyond the screen. We don’t know exactly where Bluey will be appearing in the parks, but keep an eye on this post in the future as I will be updating it with the latest news about Bluey in Disney World as soon as details are announced.
Disney’s commitment to Bluey underscores the show’s massive impact, blending heartfelt storytelling with universal appeal. With a movie on the horizon and immersive park experiences planned, Bluey is poised to become an enduring part of Disney’s global legacy.
