Disney Entertainment Television has announced its 2024 cohorts for the Directing and Writing Programs, aimed at nurturing emerging talent in television directing and writing. The programs offer participants mentorship, professional development, and direct opportunities to work on Disney series.

This year’s directing cohort will engage in shadowing and directing episodes across various Disney platforms, including notable assignments on ABC’s “General Hospital”. The writing program, now in its 35th year, continues to foster diverse voices in TV storytelling, ensuring participants land their first staff writing positions on Disney series. Highlights include Sarah Beth Ballard and Rance Ward receiving scholarships honoring Eunetta T. Boone and John Singleton, respectively, for their exceptional potential in comedy and drama writing.
