Imagineer Rolly Crump Honored on Newest Disney Cruise Line Ship

A new sculpture, paying tribute to Disney Legend Rolly Crump, is being crafted for the Haunted Mansion Parlor aboard the Disney Treasure cruise ship. Inspired by Crump’s contributions as an Imagineer, particularly to the original Haunted Mansion at Disneyland, this bust honors his legacy and influence.

 

Crump was pivotal in the attraction’s design, infusing it with his distinctive humor and creativity. His concept for a “Museum of the Weird” influenced the bust’s design, featuring sculpted drips to reflect his imaginative vision. The plaque will read, “BROTHER ROLAND- FOREVER REVERED FOR EMBRACING THE WEIRD,” ensuring Crump’s enduring impact is celebrated.
