Disney+ Unveils Exciting Sneak Peek of ‘Star Wars: The Acolyte’ Series

The Acolyte disney showDisney+ has just released the eagerly awaited first glimpse and promotional artwork for the fresh, original Lucasfilm series titled ‘Star Wars: The Acolyte.’ This captivating, live-action series is set to premiere on Tuesday, June 4, introducing viewers to its first two episodes exclusively on Disney+.

 

‘Star Wars: The Acolyte’ embarks on a gripping journey as a distinguished Jedi Master (played by Lee Jung-jae) finds himself entangled in a harrowing investigation of a series of unsettling crimes. Facing off against a formidable adversary from his history (portrayed by Amandla Stenberg), the plot thickens with each discovery, leading them into the depths of darkness where malevolent forces hint that reality may be far from what it appears…

 

Featuring a stellar cast including Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung-jae, Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Dean-Charles Chapman, Joonas Suotamo, and Carrie-Anne Moss, the series promises to be a riveting addition to the Star Wars saga.

 

 

The creative mind behind the series is Leslye Headland, who not only created the show based on the iconic Star Wars universe by George Lucas but also serves as an executive producer alongside Kathleen Kennedy, Simon Emanuel, Jeff F. King, and Jason Micallef. Co-executive producers include Charmaine DeGraté and Kor Adana, with Rayne Roberts, Damian Anderson, Eileen Shim, and Rob Bredow producing.

 

Headland takes the helm for the premiere episodes, with directors Kogonada, Alex Garcia Lopez, and Hanelle Culpepper directing subsequent episodes, contributing their unique visions to the series.

 

The series’ musical score comes from the acclaimed composer Michael Abels, celebrated for his contributions to ‘Get Out’ and ‘Us,’ bringing his signature sound to ‘Star Wars: The Acolyte’ and enhancing the atmospheric journey into the Star Wars universe.”
