Ryan Seacrest to Host ABC’s American Idol Reboot

Last Updated on: July 21st, 2017

We still don’t know a great deal about ABC’s plans to bring back American Idol, but at least we now know who the host will be. Ryan Seacrest, who hosted the show throughout its record-breaking run of dominance, announced yesterday that he will be hosting the ABC reboot. Seacrest will join an Idol cast that also includes Katy Perry, who was recently named a judge.

The announcement came on Seacrest’s *other* show “Live with Kelly and Ryan.” Have a look:

The American Idol revival will air in 2018 with contestant auditions beginning in August. I will be sure to continue to post updates on future announcements, so stay tuned everyone!
