Who is Beru Lars?

Beru Whitesun Lars is a fictional character from the Star Wars franchise. She is a human female and first appeared in the 1977 film “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope.” She is the wife of Owen Lars, and the aunt and adoptive mother of Luke Skywalker. Beru and Owen raise Luke on their moisture farm on Tatooine after Luke’s mother and father were killed by the Empire. She is known for her kind and caring nature, her hardworking attitude, and her love for her family. She is portrayed by actress Shelagh Fraser in “A New Hope” and later by Bonnie Piesse in the prequel trilogy films.
