Who is Jek Porkins?
Jek Tono Porkins is a minor character from the Star Wars universe who appears in the film Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. He is a male Human and serves as a pilot for the Rebel Alliance during the Battle of Yavin, which is a major battle against the Galactic Empire.
Porkins is known for his rotund figure and his distinctive helmet, which bears the nickname “Red Six”. He is a skilled pilot and is one of the Rebel pilots selected to fly an X-wing starfighter in the attack on the Death Star.
During the battle, Porkins’ X-wing is hit by enemy fire and he is killed in the resulting explosion. His death is portrayed as a tragic loss for the Rebel Alliance, and his courage and sacrifice are celebrated by his fellow pilots.
