Who is Muftak?
Muftak is a minor character in the Star Wars universe, who appears in the original Star Wars film, A New Hope. He is a Talz, a species of furry, bipedal creatures native to the planet Alzoc III.
In the film, Muftak is seen in the Mos Eisley Cantina, a notorious hangout for smugglers and other shady characters. He is a regular patron of the cantina, often seen with his friend, Kabe, a female Chadra-Fan. When Ponda Baba and Dr. Evazan cause a disturbance, Muftak and Kabe quickly leave the cantina.
Muftak’s distinctive appearance includes fur covering his body, large ears, and sharp teeth. He speaks in a unique language, which is translated by a protocol droid.
While Muftak is only a minor character in the Star Wars universe, his unique appearance and brief but memorable role in A New Hope have made him a fan favorite. He is often included in Star Wars merchandise and has appeared in various Star Wars comics and books.
