Who is Oola?
Oola is a minor character from the Star Wars universe who appears in the film Return of the Jedi. She is a female Twi’lek, a humanoid species with distinctive head-tails known as “lekku”.
In the film, Oola is a dancer and a slave of the crime lord Jabba the Hutt. She performs for Jabba and his court in his palace on the desert planet of Tatooine. During one of her performances, Jabba attempts to force her into his service as a concubine, but she resists and is punished by being thrown into the Rancor pit.
Oola meets her demise in the Rancor pit, where she is eaten by the monstrous creature. Her death is portrayed as a tragic and senseless loss, and her plight has become a symbol of the cruelty and decadence of Jabba’s criminal empire.
Despite her limited screen time, Oola has become a memorable part of the Star Wars franchise, known for her distinctive appearance and her role as a victim of Jabba’s cruel and oppressive regime.
