Who is Watto?

Watto is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise. He is a male Toydarian, a species of small, winged beings with a distinctive snout and a talent for business. Watto is introduced in the film “Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace,” where he is a junk dealer and slave owner on the planet Tatooine. He is the owner of the young slave Anakin Skywalker, who later becomes a Jedi Knight. Watto is known for his distinctive voice, his love of gambling, and his reluctance to part with his valuable possessions. He was voiced by voice actor Andy Secombe.
