Disney World Annual Pass Program | A Complete Guide

If you are a frequent visitor to Florida’s Walt Disney World, finding yourself visiting the resort more than twice a year (or going to the parks more than 10-12 days a year), there is an alternative to buying individual park passes that may save you a bit of money over the course of the year. The Disney World Annual Pass offering is designed to help repeat visitors enjoy the parks and other amenities without going completely broke. Here is what you need to know.

Disney World Annual Pass Packages:

There are three standard Disney Annual Pass packages currently offered- Platinum Plus, Platinum and Water Parks.

In the Disney Platinum Plus Annual Pass package you receive:

• Admission to all 4 theme parks, both Disney water parks, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course
• Ability to visit all 4 theme parks on the same day (park hop)
• Ability to download Disney PhotoPass pictures
• Up to 20% off select dining options
• Up to 20% off select merchandise in-store or online
• Free standard theme park parking

In the Disney Platinum Pass package you receive:

• Admission to all 4 theme parks (just the 4 parks)
• Ability to visit all 4 theme parks on the same day (park hop)
• Ability to download Disney PhotoPass pictures
• Up to 20% off select dining options
• Up to 20% off select merchandise in-store or online
• Free standard theme park parking

In the Disney Water Parks Annual Pass you receive:

• Admission to both Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon and Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Parks

It is definitely worth noting here that separately ticketed events like Mickey’s Not-So_Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party are not included in annual pass packages. Tickets for special events must be purchased separately. There are a few other disclaimers you should review as well at the bottom of this page.

How Much Does a Disney Annual Pass Cost?

As of August 2018, Disney World Annual Passes had the following pricing structure:

• Platinum Plus Pass Package: from $949
• Platinum Pass Package: from $849
• Water Parks Annual Pass: from $130

If you are an existing annual pass holder and are renewing, you are eligible for a renewal discount up to 30 days past your pass expiration date.

How Long Do Passes Last?

Annual passes are good for 366 days from the day of purchase (Ex: If you purchase it in September 1st, 2018, it will be good until the end of the day on September 1st, 2019). This is very important to keep in mind as you determine when to purchase yours. You’ll want to pick a time in the year when the 365-day window will encompass as many of you planned Disney World park visits as possible. Doing this will save you money and enable you to get the most value out of your pass.

What Other Perks Do Annual Pass Holders Receive?

One key perk is that you will be eligible to purchase a Tables in Wonderland card. This will entitle you to a 20% discount off most Disney World table service restaurant meals. If you are planning on visiting the parks enough times to warrant an annual pass, you likely will be eating at the parks and resorts enough to make Tables in Wonderland work in your favor economically. Also, pass holders often have their own express line at the park entrances. These specially marked gates usually have much shorter lines than the others allowing you to get into the park and start enjoying the magic quicker.

How Do You Purchase a Pass Package?

You can purchase an annual pass package online here or by calling (407) W-DISNEY. Once ordered, you will receive a confirmation number via email and you can pick up your pass at any of the guest services centers at the parks. Be sure to have your confirmation number handy when you go to pick up your pass!
