Who is David Kawena?

David Kawena is a supporting character in Disney’s “Lilo & Stitch” franchise. He is portrayed as Nani Pelekai’s boyfriend and a close friend to her younger sister, Lilo.

David is depicted as a kind-hearted and loyal individual, often serving as a source of support for Nani and Lilo during challenging times. He is also an avid surfer and works as a fire performer at a local luau.

In the original 2002 animated film “Lilo & Stitch,” David Kawena is voiced by actor Jason Scott Lee. Lee reprised this role in the sequel “Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch.” In other installments of the franchise, such as “Stitch! The Movie” and the television series “Lilo & Stitch: The Series,” the character is voiced by Dee Bradley Baker.

In the upcoming live-action adaptation of “Lilo & Stitch,” set for release in 2025, the role of David Kawena will be portrayed by actor Kaipo Dudoit.
