Who is Dex Barrington?
Dex Barrington is a fictional character from the Disney movie “The Country Bears,” which was released in 2002. The film is a live-action/animated musical comedy based on the Disney theme park attraction, the Country Bear Jamboree.
Dex Barrington is portrayed by actor Eli Marienthal. He is the film’s human protagonist, a young boy who discovers that he is adopted and that his birth mother was a country music singer who used to perform with the Country Bears, a band of animatronic bears.
Dex becomes determined to reunite the disbanded Country Bears and organize a benefit concert to save Country Bear Hall, a music venue that holds sentimental value for him.
Throughout the movie, Dex’s character embarks on a journey filled with adventure and humor as he tracks down the former members of the Country Bears and convinces them to reunite for the concert. His interactions with the various bear characters, including Big Al, Liver Lips McGrowl, and others, lead to comical and heartwarming moments.
