Who is Dex Barrington?

Dex Barrington is a fictional character from the Disney movie “The Country Bears,” which was released in 2002. The film is a live-action/animated musical comedy based on the Disney theme park attraction, the Country Bear Jamboree.

Dex Barrington is portrayed by actor Eli Marienthal. He is the film’s human protagonist, a young boy who discovers that he is adopted and that his birth mother was a country music singer who used to perform with the Country Bears, a band of animatronic bears. Dex becomes determined to reunite the disbanded Country Bears and organize a benefit concert to save Country Bear Hall, a music venue that holds sentimental value for him.
