Who is Grubbi?
Grubbi is a character from Disney’s animated series Adventures of the Gummi Bears, which aired from 1985 to 1991. He is one of the central characters among the Gummi Bears, a hidden society of magical creatures who reside in Gummi Glen.
Known for his boisterous personality, Grubbi is the group’s chef and a skilled inventor, constantly creating new contraptions to help his fellow Gummis in their adventures. He’s warm-hearted and often provides comic relief with his humorous outlook and enthusiastic, albeit occasionally misguided, plans. Grubbi’s jovial personality contrasts with his cautious and practical nature, balancing out the more impulsive actions of other characters, like Cubbi.
Grubbi was voiced by the talented Bill Scott, a voice actor known for his work on several classic animated characters, including Bullwinkle from The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show. Sadly, Bill Scott passed away in 1985, and Grubbi’s role was then taken over by actor Corey Burton, who continued to bring life to the character with his distinct voice work.
