Who is Heffalump?

A Heffalump is a fictional elephant-like creature from the Winnie-the-Pooh stories by A. A. Milne and the Disney adaptations of those stories. They are characterized as being large, with thick gray or purple fur and long trunks and ears. They are generally portrayed as being gentle and friendly, but misunderstood by the other characters in the stories, especially by the character Tigger, who initially believes them to be dangerous. They usually appear as friendly and timid creatures and in the Disney productions they are often portrayed as a valuable and peaceful member of the animal kingdom.
