Who is Jane Porter?

Jane Porter is a central character in Disney’s animated Tarzan, based on Edgar Rice Burroughs’ novel Tarzan of the Apes. Jane is portrayed as a spirited, intelligent, and adventurous young woman who travels from England to Africa with her father, Professor Archimedes Q. Porter, to study gorillas.
