Who is Lady DeBurne?

Lady DeBurne is a character in Disney’s direct-to-video sequel “The Hunchback of Notre Dame II,” released in 2002. She is a minor antagonist in the film.

Lady DeBurne is a noblewoman who visits Paris and brings her dog, a small but spoiled pup named Cuddles, with her. She is portrayed as being rather snobbish, self-absorbed, and disdainful of the common people of Paris, including the gypsies.

In the film, Lady DeBurne’s dog, Cuddles, becomes enamored with Madellaine, a kind-hearted and acrobatic gypsy girl who has a crush on Quasimodo, the hunchback. This leads to a series of events that involve Lady DeBurne attempting to manipulate Madellaine and exploit her attraction to Cuddles.

While Lady DeBurne is not the main antagonist of the film, her character adds some comedic and minor antagonistic elements to the story. She represents the class differences and prejudices that existed during the time period in which the film is set.
