Who is Prince Edward?

Prince Edward is a charming, over-the-top character from Disney’s Enchanted (2007), a live-action/animated romantic comedy that blends classic fairy tale tropes with modern-day humor. Hailing from the magical, animated kingdom of Andalasia, Prince Edward embodies the archetype of the dashing, fearless hero often seen in traditional Disney animated films. He is brave, confident, and utterly devoted to his quest to find and rescue his true love, Giselle, whom he plans to marry.

However, Edward’s earnestness is matched by his comedic naivety and lack of awareness of the modern world. This becomes evident when Giselle is banished to New York City by his evil stepmother, Queen Narissa.
