Who is Russell “Russ” Thompson, Jr.?

Russell “Russ” Thompson, Jr. is a character from the 1989 Disney film Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. Portrayed by Thomas Wilson Brown, Russ is the teenage son of the Thompsons, a family living next door to the Szalinskis. Russ is initially portrayed as a somewhat moody and reserved teenager, grappling with typical adolescent issues and a strained relationship with his father, Russell “Big Russ” Thompson, Sr., who often pressures him to embrace traditionally masculine activities like sports, particularly football.
