Who is Scar?

Scar is a character from the Disney animated film “The Lion King.” He is the main antagonist of the film, and is the older brother of Mufasa, the father of Simba and uncle of Kion. Scar is jealous of Mufasa’s position as king and plots to kill both Mufasa and Simba, so he can take the throne for himself. He is a villainous, cunning, manipulative and power-hungry lion. He is known for his distinctive scar above his left eye, which he got in a fight with his brother, and his deep, menacing voice provided by actor Jeremy Irons. Scar is responsible for Mufasa’s death and convinces Simba to leave the Pride Lands, leaving him to rule as the king.
