Who is Toulouse?

Toulouse is a beloved character from Disney’s animated classic The Aristocats (1970). He is one of Duchess’s three kittens and is known for his adventurous and mischievous personality.

Toulouse (The Aristocats)

Named after the famous French artist Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Toulouse embodies a creative and spirited nature that adds a layer of charm to his character. He dreams of becoming a tough alley cat like Thomas O’Malley, the charismatic street cat who becomes the kittens’ adoptive father. Toulouse stands out with his orange fur, playful antics, and his talent for painting. He often displays a brave demeanor, standing up to perceived threats and protecting his siblings, Marie and Berlioz, on their journey back to their Parisian home.

Toulouse was brought to life by Gary Dubin, who provided the voice for the character. Dubin’s youthful and expressive performance captured the essence of the mischievous yet loving kitten, making him a memorable part of the film.
