Wayne Szalinski is a fictional character from the Disney film “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids” and its sequels “Honey, I Blew Up the Kid” and “Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves”. He is portrayed by actor Rick Moranis. Wayne is a scientist and inventor who lives in a suburban neighborhood with his wife and two kids. He is known for his invention of a shrinking machine, which accidentally shrinks his own children and several of their neighborhood friends to tiny size. Wayne spends the majority of the first film trying to figure out how to reverse the shrinking process and bring the kids back to normal size.

In the sequels, Wayne continues to tinker with his shrinking machine, causing more comical mishaps with the size of himself, his family and others.
