Last Updated on: March 26th, 2024

Lafitte’s Silver Shop was a former retail establishment at Disneyland in California. It operated from 1966 to 1988 and was located in New Orleans Square.

Lafitte’s Silver Shop offered guests a variety of silver jewelry and accessories. The shop was themed around the legendary pirate Jean Lafitte, and its merchandise reflected a pirate or nautical theme. Guests could browse through a selection of silver rings, bracelets, necklaces, and other adornments.

The establishment provided an opportunity for guests to purchase unique and high-quality silver pieces as souvenirs or gifts. It added to the immersive and atmospheric experience of New Orleans Square, which is designed to resemble the ambiance of the French Quarter in New Orleans.

I have since returned to the magical place more than 20 times. I started this site when I came to the realization that I spent a significant portion of my day reading articles about Disney and watching Disney content with my 8-year old, so it made sense that I would start sharing some of what I read and see and building a little community around it.
