The Monster Sound Show - Extinct Disney World Show“The Monster Sound Show” was an attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios (formerly known as Disney-MGM Studios) in Walt Disney World, Florida. It operated from 1989 to 1997.

The attraction was a live interactive show that offered guests a behind-the-scenes look at how sound effects are created for movies. It was hosted by a Disney sound effects expert and a “volunteer” from the audience who would participate in creating sound effects for a short film clip.

During the show, the host and volunteer would use various props and techniques to simulate sounds, such as footsteps, explosions, and animal noises. The audience would watch the film clip and hear the live sound effects being created in real-time, demonstrating the art and creativity behind sound design in the entertainment industry.

“The Monster Sound Show” provided an entertaining and educational experience, giving guests a glimpse into the magic of movie-making and the importance of sound in creating immersive storytelling.
