Who is Wong?

Wong is a character in Marvel Comics and the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) known for his role as a loyal and skilled ally to Doctor Strange. He is portrayed by actor Benedict Wong in the MCU.

In the comics, Wong was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko and first appeared in “Strange Tales” #110 in 1963. He is depicted as a Tibetan monk and the loyal servant and confidant to Doctor Stephen Strange, the Sorcerer Supreme.

In the MCU, Wong is introduced in the film “Doctor Strange” (2016). He serves as the librarian and keeper of ancient and mystical texts in Kamar-Taj, the training center for sorcerers. Wong is highly skilled in magic and combat and plays a crucial role in guiding and training Doctor Strange in the ways of the mystic arts.
