disney plus price increase 2025Disney has confirmed that subscription prices for both Disney+ and Hulu are increasing once again, with changes set to take effect on October 21, 2025. The hikes impact both standalone subscriptions and popular bundle options, marking the company’s latest move to push its streaming platforms toward profitability.

For Disney+, the ad-supported plan will rise from $9.99 to $11.99 per month, while the ad-free premium plan increases from $15.99 to $18.99 per month. Hulu is following suit, with its ad-supported tier also climbing to $11.99 per month. Bundle packages that combine Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN Select are also being adjusted upward.

This marks the second major increase in two years. The last round came in fall 2024, when Disney+ raised its ad-free tier from $13.99 to $15.99. The new $18.99 price point is a steeper jump, signaling the company’s ongoing effort to offset content costs and improve streaming margins.

While price increases have become an annual occurrence across the streaming industry, they are often met with mixed reactions from subscribers. Fans now face a choice: absorb the higher cost or reconsider which services they keep active heading into the fall.
