Disney unveiled a first glimpse of “TRON: Ares,” the latest addition to the TRON series, set to premiere in 2025. Beginning production in Vancouver in January, this installment follows the narrative of Ares, a sophisticated program embarking on a perilous mission from the digital to the real world, marking humanity’s first interaction with artificial intelligence.

 

Directed by Joachim Rønning, the film aims to expand the franchise’s hallmark of innovative design, technology, and storytelling. The cast includes Jared Leto, Greta Lee, and Evan Peters, among others, with a team of producers that features Sean Bailey, Jeffrey Silver, and original TRON creator Steven Lisberger.
