Disney Debuts Single Rider Line at Epcot’s Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure

Disney has introduced a single rider line at Epcot’s Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, aiming to enhance guest experience and operational efficiency. This trackless dark ride, featuring six-person vehicles arranged in two rows of three, is well-suited for single rider queues, which help fill vacant seats and reduce overall wait times. The original Ratatouille attraction at Disneyland Paris has long utilized a single rider line, making this addition at Epcot a welcome enhancement for visitors.
Single rider lines are designed to maximize ride capacity by seating individual guests in available spots left by larger parties. This strategy not only shortens wait times for solo visitors but also improves the attraction’s throughput. However, it’s important for guests to understand that using the single rider line means they will be seated separately from their group. Disney advises that the single rider option for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is currently in a testing phase and may not be available at all times. This approach allows Disney to assess the effectiveness of the single rider line in managing crowds and enhancing guest satisfaction.
The implementation of single rider lines is part of Disney’s broader strategy to optimize guest flow and reduce wait times across its parks. Other attractions at Walt Disney World, such as Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run, Expedition Everest, and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, have successfully incorporated single rider queues. By expanding this feature to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Disney continues to demonstrate its commitment to improving the guest experience through innovative crowd management solutions.
