Disney Experiences announces leadership changes as Thomas Mazloum steps into chairman role

Disney Experiences has unveiled a new round of leadership changes, with Thomas Mazloum set to become chairman of the segment as Josh D’Amaro moves into the chief executive officer role at The Walt Disney Company. The appointments, announced March 10, give Disney a clearer picture of how its parks, cruise, consumer products, and international businesses will be structured as one of the company’s biggest executive transitions takes effect on March 18, 2026.
Mazloum’s promotion is the centerpiece of the reshuffle. He will succeed D’Amaro as chairman of Disney Experiences, putting him in charge of a broad global portfolio that includes Disney’s theme parks, cruise ships, resort hotels, consumer products, expeditions and adventures, and Walt Disney Imagineering. It is a major assignment, but one that builds on a long Disney track record. Most recently, Mazloum served as president of Disneyland Resort, where he oversaw Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure, the resort hotels, and Downtown Disney during the company’s 70th anniversary celebration.
Disney’s announcement makes clear that Mazloum’s resume is a big reason for the promotion. Before leading Disneyland Resort, he was president of Disney Signature Experiences, where he helped shape long-term growth plans that included the expansion of Disney Cruise Line. Disney pointed specifically to the recent launch of Disney Adventure in Singapore, the line’s eighth ship and its first homeported in Asia, as part of that momentum. The company is framing Mazloum as an executive with both operational depth and international growth experience, two qualities that matter as Disney continues investing heavily in its experiences business around the world.
The leadership changes do not stop there. Jill Estorino has been named president of Disneyland Resort, stepping into one of the highest-profile roles in Disney’s domestic parks business. Estorino had most recently served as president of Disney Parks International, where she oversaw Disneyland Paris, Hong Kong Disneyland, Shanghai Disney Resort, and Tokyo Disney Resort in partnership with Oriental Land Company. Her move to Anaheim gives Disneyland a leader with deep global experience and a long history inside the company, including prior work in marketing and sales.
Taking Estorino’s former position is Tasia Filippatos, who becomes president of Disney Parks International. Filippatos had been leading Disney Consumer Products, where she oversaw a wide-ranging portfolio that included merchandise, retail, publishing, games, and brand partnerships. In her new role, she will manage Disney’s park businesses outside the United States, including the company’s existing international resorts as well as the planned Abu Dhabi project with Miral. That makes her promotion especially significant, since it places her at the center of Disney’s next phase of international expansion.
Lisa Baldzicki is also moving up, becoming president of Disney Consumer Products. Baldzicki most recently led parks product development and retail, a role focused on shaping how guests interact with Disney merchandise and branded experiences across the domestic parks. Her promotion signals continuity in a business that remains a major part of Disney’s global reach, with the company noting that consumer products spans more than 100 product categories in over 180 countries.
Taken together, the appointments show Disney opting for experienced internal leaders rather than outsiders during a period of broader corporate change. That fits with the company’s larger 2026 transition, which includes D’Amaro’s elevation to CEO and other top-level leadership updates across Disney Entertainment and corporate communications. For Disney Experiences in particular, the new lineup suggests the company wants stability at the top even as it continues expanding cruise capacity, investing in international growth, and pushing ahead with new projects across its parks and products businesses.
The effective date of March 18 is also important. It aligns these changes directly with D’Amaro’s formal start as CEO, making this one of the clearest signs yet of how Disney is organizing itself for its next chapter. Disney Experiences has been one of the company’s strongest and fastest-growing segments in recent years, and these appointments indicate that Disney sees that business as central to its future. With Mazloum now set to lead the division and a new team in place beneath him, the company is signaling continuity, scale, and a continued focus on growth.
