disney Adventure WorldDisneyland Paris is set for a monumental transformation as its second park, Walt Disney Studios Park, is renamed to ‘Disney Adventure World’. The renaming coincides with the opening of the much-anticipated World of Frozen, marking a significant expansion that will nearly double the park’s current footprint.

Starting in spring 2025, visitors will be greeted by a completely redesigned entrance sequence called ‘World Premiere’, which mimics a glamorous Hollywood movie premiere. The area is inspired by historic movie theaters, replacing the existing “soundstage” décor with vibrant, contemporary elements. The entrance leads to the ‘World Premiere Plaza’, an Art Deco-themed theater district celebrating Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios.

The reimagining of the park includes the introduction of new attractions and enhancements. Notably, the upcoming World of Frozen will transport guests to the kingdom of Arendelle, showcasing its iconic North Mountain and colorful façades as the area nears completion.

Adjacent to the Frozen area will be Adventure Bay, a scenic lake setting that serves as a hub for the new themed worlds. It features a state-of-the-art entertainment stage equipped with fountains, lights, and special effects, offering 360-degree views for spectacular water-based shows.

Another exciting addition is the Raiponce Tangled Spin, a family attraction inspired by the “Tangled” movie. This ride takes guests through the iconic floating lanterns scene. Nearby, The Regal View Restaurant and Lounge offers panoramic views of Adventure Bay and an opportunity to dine with Disney princesses.

Further enriching the park’s offerings, the ‘Alice & The Queen of Hearts: Back to Wonderland’ show debuts on May 25, bringing a high-energy pop and rock performance inspired by “Alice in Wonderland”. The show will feature acrobatics and interactive elements where the audience decides the ending.

In addition, Avengers Campus is set to introduce a new nighttime activation by the end of 2024. This experience will be based on the Worldwide Engineering Brigade building and will run through spring 2025, combining projections, music, and special effects along with a fresh storyline featuring beloved and new Super Heroes.

The transformation extends beyond the parks to Disney Village, which is undergoing a makeover to include a new Disney lifestyle shop and a Disney home store. The existing Disney Store is also slated for a redesign, and the LEGO Store will be refurbished to offer new photo ops and interactive play stations.

Accommodations are also receiving updates, with the Disney Davy Crockett Ranch bungalows undergoing renovations that incorporate themes from the Junior Woodchucks and characters like Donald Duck.

This extensive expansion and renaming to Disney Adventure World signal a new era for Disneyland Paris, aiming to offer more immersive experiences and making the park a perfect complement to the classic Disneyland Park. This expansion is part of a broader strategy by Disney Experiences to enhance its global attractions, promising even more developments to be revealed at this year’s D23 Expo.
