Walt Disney World’s Hall of Presidents , a hallmark attraction in Magic Kingdom’s Liberty Square, is scheduled to close for refurbishment on January 20, 2025. This closure aligns with the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump, who secured a second, non-consecutive term in the 2024 election.

Historically, the Hall of Presidents undergoes updates to incorporate the newly elected president, ensuring the attraction reflects the current U.S. leadership. In this unique instance, Disney Imagineers face the decision of either reinstating the previous animatronic figure of President Trump from his initial term or creating a new representation to mark his return to office.

The duration of the refurbishment remains unspecified. However, past updates have varied in length; for example, the 2017 refurbishment to add President Trump lasted nearly a year, while the 2021 update for President Biden took approximately seven months.
