Marvel Sets Disney+ Release Dates for Popular Upcoming Properties

Marvel lined up a late-summer one-two punch today—Thunderbolts* is locked for Disney+ on Wednesday, August 27, followed by a bumped-up Marvel Zombies on September 24.

First up, Thunderbolts*: Disney confirmed the streaming date as August 27, marking the team’s small-screen debut just under four months after theaters.
The film’s premise brings Yelena, Bucky, Red Guardian, Ghost, Taskmaster, and U.S. Agent together under Val for a dangerous mission that forces this misfit squad to confront their pasts and either fracture—or find redemption.
After its May 2 run, Thunderbolts* finished around $382.4 million worldwide—modest by MCU standards—which makes the Disney+ drop a pivotal second wind.

Then comes the shuffle: Marvel Zombies moves up a week to Wednesday, September 24, with multiple outlets noting the new date after earlier plans pointed to October 3.
The animated miniseries spins out of What If…? as a new roster of survivors—including heroes like Ms. Marvel, Ironheart, Kate Bishop, Shang-Chi, and more—race across a dystopian MCU to end a super-powered undead outbreak.
