Zootopia 2 Sprinting Past $1 Billion Globally in Record Time

Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Zootopia 2 has officially joined the elite billion-dollar club, crossing the $1 billion mark at the global box office just 17 days after its theatrical debut. This rapid ascent makes the animated sequel the fastest PG-rated and one of the quickest animated films ever to reach this milestone worldwide.

Released on November 26, 2025, Zootopia 2 built on a historic opening weekend that grossed more than $550 million globally, setting a new benchmark for animated films and ranking among the largest worldwide launches in cinema history. Its worldwide total includes strong domestic receipts and an exceptionally robust performance in international markets, especially China, where the film shattered local records for a foreign animated title.
