Anatole (Playhouse Disney Show)

“Anatole” is an animated television series produced by Disney and Canada’s Nelvana animation studio. The show premiered in 1998 and was based on a series of children’s books by Eve Titus.

The series follows the adventures of Anatole, a cultured and intelligent French mouse who lives in Paris with his family. Anatole is a cheese connoisseur and works as a cheese taster in a cheese factory. He often uses his knowledge of cheese to solve problems and help others.

Anatole is accompanied by his wife Doucette, their children, and his best friend Gaston, a clumsy but lovable cat. The show is known for its charming characters, humorous storylines, and educational content, as it often teaches children about different types of cheeses and French culture.

“Anatole” was well-received by audiences and critics alike and won several awards, including a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Children’s Animated Program in 2000. It aired for two seasons and a total of 26 episodes.
