Series Description:
“The Santa Clauses” is a Disney+ original series that continues the beloved “The Santa Clause” film franchise. Premiering on November 16, 2022, the series brings back Tim Allen as Scott Calvin, who has served as Santa Claus for nearly three decades. As he approaches his 65th birthday, Scott realizes he can’t be Santa forever and begins to lose some of his Santa magic. Concerned about balancing his Santa duties with family life, he decides to retire and search for a suitable successor, aiming to provide his family with a normal life outside the North Pole.
The series features returning cast members, including Elizabeth Mitchell as Carol Calvin (Mrs. Claus), and introduces new characters like Simon Choksi, portrayed by Kal Penn, who becomes Scott’s successor. The narrative explores Scott’s challenges in finding a replacement while ensuring the spirit of Christmas endures. Season 1 consists of six episodes, each running approximately 30 minutes. Due to its positive reception, the series was renewed for a second season, which premiered on November 8, 2023.
