Who is Mace Windu?

Mace Windu is a fictional character in the Star Wars universe. He is a Jedi Master and a member of the Jedi High Council during the prequel trilogy. Windu is known for his distinctive purple lightsaber and his mastery of the Vaapad lightsaber fighting style. He is portrayed by actor Samuel L. Jackson in the films. Windu played a pivotal role in the events leading up to and during the Clone Wars, and was ultimately killed by Darth Sidious in Revenge of the Sith.
