Who is Chef Louis?

Chef Louis is a character in the 1989 Disney animated film The Little Mermaid. He is the head chef of King Triton’s palace and is known for his gruff and intimidating demeanor. He is voiced by actor Rene Auberjonois. He is shown to be a skilled cook, but also a bit of a bully to the other kitchen staff, especially to the protagonist Ariel’s friend Flounder. He is also the antagonist of the film, as he attempts to capture and cook Ariel’s best friend, a fish named Sebastian, who is also a court composer and conductor.
