Who is Dante?

Dante is a fictional character from the 2017 Disney-Pixar animated film “Coco.” He is a Xoloitzcuintli (a Mexican hairless dog) who serves as a guide and companion to the film’s main character, Miguel. Dante is known for his loyalty and companionship and is often shown to be easily excited and playful. He helps Miguel to navigate through the spirit world and meet his ancestors. He is not based on any real historical or cultural figure.
