Who is Dijon the Thief?

Dijon the Thief is a character from the classic Disney animated series DuckTales. Dijon is a bumbling yet crafty thief who often finds himself entangled in the schemes of larger villains, especially the sinister sorcerer Merlock.

Known for his opportunistic and greedy nature, Dijon is always on the lookout for ways to amass wealth, often leading him into trouble. His character is memorable for his humorous, clumsy approach to thievery and his somewhat cowardly demeanor, which contrasts with his aspirations to be a successful criminal.

Dijon appears prominently in DuckTales the Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp, where he becomes Merlock’s reluctant sidekick in a plot to steal a magical lamp from Scrooge McDuck. His character adds comedic relief while also playing a critical role in advancing the story’s central conflict.

Dijon was voiced by actor Richard Libertini, whose performance brought a lively, comedic touch to the character, making him a memorable addition to the DuckTales universe. Libertini’s voice work helped shape Dijon’s personality, capturing both his mischievous intentions and his nervous energy.
