Who is Doofus Drake?

Doofus Drake is a recurring character in Disney’s DuckTales franchise. He is a young duck known for his innocent, somewhat naïve personality and his loyalty to his friends.

Doofus originally appeared in the 1987 DuckTales series as a friend of Huey, Dewey, and Louie. In the classic series, Doofus was a gentle, well-meaning character with a strong appetite, often depicted as the comic relief due to his clumsiness and eagerness to help.

In the 2017 DuckTales reboot, Doofus Drake’s character was reimagined with a drastically different personality. Here, he is depicted as a spoiled, wealthy child with a narcissistic and eccentric streak, contrasting sharply with his original kind-hearted portrayal. This version of Doofus adds a more complex and humorous dynamic to the series, often serving as an antagonist rather than a friend to the main cast.
