Who is Dormouse?

The Dormouse is a fictional character from the 1865 novel “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” by Lewis Carroll, and is featured in the animated Disney movie “Alice in Wonderland” (1951).

In the story, the Dormouse is a sleepy rodent who attends the famous Mad Hatter’s tea party along with the March Hare and the Mad Hatter. The Dormouse is constantly falling asleep, and often tells stories that seem to have no beginning or end. At one point, the Dormouse becomes enraged and starts a fight with the Mad Hatter and the March Hare over a disputed issue of time.

Dormouse (Alice in Wonderland)

In the Disney movie, the Dormouse is depicted as a small and sleepy character, often drifting off into a slumber. The character is voiced by actor and comedian Jimmy MacDonald. The Dormouse’s most famous line from the movie is “Twinkle, twinkle, little bat, how I wonder what you’re at,” which is a reference to a poem by Lewis Carroll.
