Who is Geppetto?Geppetto is a character from the Disney animated film “Pinocchio.” He is a woodcarver who creates the wooden puppet Pinocchio, and later becomes his father figure. He is a kind, loving and hardworking man who wants nothing more than for his creation to become a real boy. He is willing to do anything for Pinocchio, even to the point of risking his own life to save him. He is voiced by actor Christian Rub in the original film, and later by Tony Amendola in the Disney series. Geppetto is based on the character from the 1883 Italian novel “The Adventures of Pinocchio” by Carlo Collodi.
