Known for her mystical abilities and deep understanding of spiritual matters, Innoko is part of the Kenai Peninsula tribe and holds an influential position within her community. Her guidance is sought after by the protagonist, Nita, as she seeks to break a spiritual bond with her childhood friend, Kenai, who has transformed into a bear.

Innoko is portrayed as a wise and patient elder with a playful side, who balances both humor and gravity in her interactions. She is the one who reveals the spiritual nature of the necklace bond between Nita and Kenai, which needs to be broken in a sacred ceremony. Innoko encourages Nita to undertake the journey to find Kenai, hinting at her belief in the powers of destiny, love, and transformation. She embodies the film’s theme of connection and respect for nature and the spiritual world.

The character of Innoko is voiced by Wanda Sykes, a comedian and actress known for her distinctive voice and wit. Sykes’s performance brings warmth and humor to the character, adding depth to Innoko’s personality and making her an endearing guide in Nita’s journey.
