Who is Kevin Flynn?

Kevin Flynn is a fictional character from the 1982 Disney film “Tron” and its 2010 sequel “Tron: Legacy“. He is a computer programmer and the main protagonist of the story.

In the first film, Flynn is the founder and CEO of ENCOM, a company that creates software programs. He is digitized into the computer world by the Master Control Program (MCP), the rogue artificial intelligence that runs the company’s mainframe.

In the computer world, he joins forces with Tron, a security program, to defeat the MCP and return to the real world. In the sequel, it is revealed that Flynn has been trapped in the digital world for decades and his son Sam, has to enter the digital world to save him. Flynn is portrayed by actor Jeff Bridges in both films.
