Who is Li Shang?

Li Shang is a pivotal character in Disney’s animated film Mulan (1998), serving as the captain of the Chinese Imperial Army and Mulan’s eventual love interest. Renowned for his discipline and dedication, Li Shang is tasked with training a ragtag group of recruits, including Mulan, who is disguised as a man named Ping to protect her ailing father from conscription.
