Who is Max the Sheepdog?
Max is not a character in Disney’s “The Little Mermaid.” However, Max is a well-known character from another Disney classic, “The Little Mermaid’s” predecessor, “The Little Mermaid.” Max is Prince Eric’s loyal and loveable Old English Sheepdog.
Max plays a supporting role in the film and is often seen by Prince Eric’s side. He is known for his friendly and affectionate nature, and he’s particularly fond of Ariel, even though he initially can’t communicate to Eric that Ariel is the girl who saved him.
Max’s character adds to the overall charm and warmth of “The Little Mermaid.” His loyalty to Eric and his enthusiasm for life make him a beloved character in the Disney pantheon. While Max may not have a speaking role in the film, his expressive eyes and wagging tail convey a range of emotions, endearing him to audiences of all ages.
