Meeko is a character from the 1995 Disney animated film “Pocahontas.” He is a raccoon who serves as one of Pocahontas’ closest animal friends and companions. Meeko is depicted as a mischievous and curious creature who is always getting into trouble, but he is also a loyal friend to Pocahontas and is always there to support her in times of need. Throughout the course of the film, Meeko forms a close bond with John Smith, the English explorer, and he often finds himself caught in the middle of the conflict between the native Powhatan tribe and the English settlers.
