Who is Meeko?
Meeko is a character from the 1995 Disney animated film “Pocahontas.” He is a raccoon who serves as one of Pocahontas’ closest animal friends and companions. Meeko is depicted as a mischievous and curious creature who is always getting into trouble, but he is also a loyal friend to Pocahontas and is always there to support her in times of need. Throughout the course of the film, Meeko forms a close bond with John Smith, the English explorer, and he often finds himself caught in the middle of the conflict between the native Powhatan tribe and the English settlers. Despite his small size, Meeko proves to be a brave and resourceful ally, and he is an important part of the film’s story and themes. Overall, Meeko is a fun and lovable character who adds humor and heart to the film and is remembered as one of Disney’s most beloved animal characters.
