Who is Prince Florian?
The Prince, often referred to as “Prince Florian” by fans, is a significant character from Disney’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937), the first full-length animated feature film. As the romantic interest of Snow White, he plays a pivotal role in the fairy tale’s resolution, embodying the themes of true love and destiny.
The Prince first appears in the film serenading Snow White at her wishing well with the song “One Song,” marking the beginning of their love story. His presence is minimal for much of the movie, as the story primarily focuses on Snow White, the Evil Queen, and the Seven Dwarfs. However, his return at the film’s climax is iconic: he awakens Snow White from the Evil Queen’s spell with “true love’s kiss,” fulfilling the promise of their connection and leading to their “happily ever after.”
The Prince was voiced by Harry Stockwell, a Broadway performer and singer known for his rich baritone voice.
