The Madness of King Scar disney song music“The Madness of King Scar” is a song from the stage musical adaptation of Disney’s 1994 animated film “The Lion King“. It was added to the show for its Broadway production and was written by composer Elton John and lyricist Tim Rice. The song takes place after Scar has become king of the Pride Lands and reflects on his descent into madness and the effects of his tyrannical rule. The song features Scar and the hyenas, and is a darker and more sinister contrast to the original film’s “Be Prepared” song.
